Goals

<----Too bad this didn't happen right after Hester ran the kick back.
1. Ok, that was my only pot shot of the day...overall, the Bears D couldn't stop Indy's Offense (mainly Addai and Rhodes) and Grossman's 4th Quarter sealed the deal. Either way, the Bears should be favored in the NFC next year, too...depending on Sexy Rexy, of course.
2. Flying into Chicago tomorrow and my nuts are already freezing just thinking about it. My flight gets in at 6:30pm or something...I'm free except for Thursday in the evenings (weekly 'Mocraft conference call).
Slate always does a good job talking about the Super Bowl Ads...I thought the ads were way down this year. Some standouts? The Careerbuilder ads were decent, the Goulet ad was somewhat funny, considering it's competition....How unintentionally funny was the Flowmax ad? Something about the phrase "Weak Stream" cracks me up. The Letterman/Oprah Promo was the highlight, for me.
4. Recent article in the Onion...sorry Mark.
LOS ANGELES—Pop-culture enthusiast and sportswriter Bill Simmons, a regular columnist for ESPN's Page 2, was evidently suffering from genre confusion earlier this week when he picked Martin Scorsese's The Departed to win Super Bowl XLI. "The Departed just has a ton of upside that you can't ignore—it's got great chemistry, it keeps up the intensity all the way through, and it's got a hungry underdog coach who hasn't won the big one," Simmons wrote, adding that The Departed's only weakness may be that the film "lacks a clear cut offensive MVP to fill the role Brandon Walsh played for the great Dallas Cowboys dynasties." "This pick has nothing to do with my obvious hometown bias, but the city of Boston deserves to win the Oscar, especially after Mystic River's 2004 collapse when it eventually succumbed to Billy Crystal's heartbreaking missed field goal." Simmons added that if The Departed doesn't win the Super Bowl, it will be eerily reminiscent of the time the expansion Florida Marlins "practically stole" the Best New Artist Grammy from the Colorado Rockies in 1993.

Is that dude to the left of him touching his wiener? Looks like he likes it a little too much.

I'll put down $50 against anyone's 20 that Rex comes out of the closet in the next three years.
