1) Has anyone else followed this whole Pacman Jones saga? I feel like ESPN and other mainstream media outlets haven't really picked up on it...or maybe they don't care because football season is over.

3) Ok, so during Super Bowl week, I got into an argument with my roommate because I told him I was sick of seeing Peyton Manning everywhere. His response? "Change the channel." I told him that was the typical kneejerk conservative response to everything, and it simply cannot apply in this situation because, when I'm watching a game at a bar, I can't "change the channel." Basically, the bottom line is that I eventually became so sick of the NFL by the end of the year, and the blowhards on talk radio, and the steroid double standards, and yes, Peyton Manning. Thank god for baseball season! This is one area me and angry white douche can agree on
4) Killing bums is cool again. One kid, typically, blamed a video game (or rather, said it was "just like in a video game"). Personally, I think its completely naive to assume violent video games DON'T have a negative effect on youth. Think about it, if even the most subtle, subliminal advertisements are effective in getting a message across, don't you think a video game where you can bludgeon bystanders with a baseball bat have SOME kind of effect?? I'm not saying lets blame everything on violent video games, I'm just saying its naive to think its completely unreasonable...

You're right, you can't blame everything on video games themselves, but if people don't understand that every image you see is stored in your mind, they should. Not remembering things is not a case of them not being in your mind any more, but rather a case of you not being able to remember where in your mind you stored them.
You hear a song and immediately a scene from a movie comes to mind. You didn't even remember that you saw the movie. It happens all the time. Violent video games desensitize people, plain and simple.
Oh yeah, I've been following Pacman thanks to the benefits of www.withleather.com. How this guy isn't playing for the Bengals is amazing.
