End of the Week.

1) Wrote two beautiful leads today. Both will be followed up on tomorrow with a good chance one will go to sale and I get paid. We'll see. 2 down (maybe 3) 10 to go for the Cubs tickets.
2) My real estate agent may have saved my ass and prevented me from owing the federal government $7 in taxes. Go dreamtown realty.
3) Brown Buddy asked me what the name of my company was today. Either a) he's trying to develop a lead of his own or b) he knows someone that might be interviewing us. Hmmmm...
4) Honest to god conversation I had with a business owner today:

Me: ...we raise capital, both on the debt and equity side. We work with over 400 groups in the capital market industries including business angels, high networth individuals, venture groups, along with banks and direct lenders. We take on the role of a lawyer and act in the best interest of our clients in those tougher to get situations like not being able to go to the bank like you talked about earlier.
Him: And I suppose you charge a fee for that?
Me: Well of course. Don't you charge a fee for your services?
Him: Well, uh, yeah. But ummm....that's different...
Me: Is it? We do our jobs very well and get paid for it. Apparently you're not doing your job very well or else you'd be able to go to the bank and get the 5 million you were seeking. In fact I'm done talking to you. Good luck securing those funds without us.
Him: But wait.....
Me: No, good day. (click).

Wow. Amazing conversation...seriously, was that even necessary?

And if you really want to know, I'm pretty sure we already have your company as a client. At least we did in the past. Its a tough sell to the candidate though, which is probably why we don't have them anymore. Even you have to admit that job isn't for everyone. But I know you well...so I think I have a good grasp of what type of person would succeed in that environment: a money hungry a-hole with no regard to humanity...right? If people would only put that on their resume, it would make the CareerBuilder.com resume search that much more effective

What time did BB start drinking?

That and we do everything in house. The two recruiters get paid on how many people they succesfully recruit to the company.

Um...and how did you get the job there?

I don't know. My interview was horrible. Sincerely the worst of my life. I was so nervous I couldn't fill out my application. I babbled a lot too.

But I did that AIU was a reverse sell and that my team of 30 had 5team leaders with 6 people per team and that's very similar to how things were structured.

I also mentioned that I used to fight and that seems to impress interviewers.
