I'm Over It -- by J.O.B.

1) I'm really over various American-Indian groups getting riled up every time they see a Jesse Jackson-like opportunity to pull the "evil mascot" card. Dennis Savard asked his team to "commit to the Indian." Only a liquor swilling loser who's been wiped out at the local Ho-Chunk one too many times would think he meant it as a slur towards American-Indians and not a cleverly worded attempt to push for loyalty. Look, Joe Podlasek isn't any more a "native" American than I am, and if you really want to get technical, odds are my people inhabited the planet before his did. The logo is respectful, the t-shirts bearing the slogan are respectful and nobody means any harm. Either way, don't be surprised if Savard gets scalped.

2) In case you weren't aware, Chicago winters suck. Chicago winters are like that friend who stays at your place too long, and then just drops by whenever. Like it was 48 degrees a couple days ago and then bam! Chicago winter strikes - negative 20 with the wind chill. It's like you're in the midst of getting a great b-jayski and your buddy comes banging on your door, and then when you answer in your boxers, he comes barging in and sits down to watch TV. That's Chicago winter. I hate that guy.

3) I also hate the media. Mostly the coverage of (Pre-s)election 2008. Thanks to the writer's strike, election coverage is really the best running show on television, whether you see it as fictional or reality television. They spent months covering this nimrod, Rudy Nine-Eleveniani who's best finish was 3rd, once. They treated Fred Thompson like he was the next Reagan and he didn't finish higher than 3rd, which he did once. In the meantime, Ron Paul, who has more votes than Thompson and Giuliani combined, is put out there like an interloper and a cook. I'd like to kick Anderson Cooper in his finely quaffed salt-&-pepper rock-head.

4) Finally, if I'm going to bust my ass so hard during the day that I'm going to pass out in the middle of posting (like I did last night,) I'd like to be busting my ass doing something I at least enjoy.

I hadn't heard about Savard's comments. Is it big news in Chicago right now or something? If so, that is gay. Busting the balls of a french-canadian is like challenging AWM to a spelling contest
