1) I just realized Jeff's team lead plaque is on my mantel...I never took it down, and no one has asked about it. But his legacy lives in with whoever has that ridiculous sombrero
2) This is weird. Last night I had a dream about the stock market crashing, and then I woke up, thinking about that little girl that was trapped in a well in Midland, Texas back in the day. Then I thought about it some more, trying to find the link between these two events, and wouldn't you know it? They both occurred on the same weekend in October, 1987! I was only 7 at the time, so its pretty amazing that I was subconsciously able to link both of these events together. The human mind never ceases to amaze me...
3) I've been catching a lot of heat from my new myspace picture. What gives??
4) One of my best friends, Brian, got engaged this week...to a girl he's been dating for 3 months. We're not sure what to make of this. Some of us want to call him and slap some sense into him, but most of us seem to think its perfectly fitting, as he's been known for years to grab life by the balls. He was "Swoop" the mascot in college, and this of course reminds me of a funny story. At the GMAC Bowl in 2003 against Louisville (Ben Roethlisberger's last game for Miami), Brian was in costume at the pregame press conference. A reporter asked the University President about "Swoop", and he replied "yes, Swoop is a Redhawk, known for his speed, bravery, fierceness and determination. Not like a Louisville Cardinal that just sits in a tree and sings like a girl all day." After the reporter left, President Garland turned to Brian and said "I probably shouldn't have said that..."
